We believe that our Alumni is a significant and valuable part of the SMS community and our Alumni program aims to keep our people in close contact with former colleagues and friends. SMS is committed to developing strong relationships, so whether you left us two years ago or more than a decade ago, we would like to stay connected with you, keep you informed about our activities and enable you to link up with former colleagues through regular communications and networking events.
SMS Nexus will evolve to meet the needs and interests of its members. We welcome your suggestions and feedback and look forward to maintaining a long and fruitful association with you, our valued Alumni.

About SMS Nexus
SMS Nexus was launched in Melbourne and Canberra in 2008 and will soon be extended to the SMS offices in Brisbane and Sydney. The aim of the program is to foster a positive, ongoing and mutually beneficial relationship between SMS and its former employees.
The key features of the SMS Nexus program include:
- Quarterly e-newsletter – featuring profiles and interviews with SMS Alumni, an Alumni bulletin board to promote Alumni businesses and services, news from SMS, details of Alumni events, job opportunities, special offers and more.
- Regular networking events – high quality events that provide an opportunity to catch up with old friends, find out what former colleagues are doing and network with other business professionals, as well as keep in touch with news from SMS. And of course enjoy some fine food and a glass or two of good wine!
- A range of alumni benefits – special offers and privileges for SMS Nexus members.
- Career opportunities – contract, permanent employment and career development opportunities offered by SMS and our contracting and permanent placement company, M&T Resources.
- Membership of SMS Nexus is open to SMS employees who worked for the Company for a minimum of 12 months at any time since its inception in 1986 and who left the Company in good standing. Details of membership eligibility are available in the SMS Nexus terms and conditions.
