SMS Management & Technology (SMS) [ASX:SMX] is Australia's largest, publicly listed Management Services company. Due to unprecedented client growth in our NSW region we are currently seeking a Java Architect with commercial experience of complex projects.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in user and stakeholder engagement as well as being able to collaborate effectively with development teams. Essential experience includes scoping, estimation, analysis, design, development of enterprise-grade Java applications, including sound technical skills.
Specifically, we seek an individual who can demonstrate commercial experience designing and delivering complex projects ($1m+ budget) for large consultancies or blue chip organisations around standard JEE frameworks. Experience using agile approaches would also be highly regarded.
You are a high achiever who thrives on scoping, analysis and design through to delivery. You will be a core individual to projects and enjoy the chance to work with multiple stakeholders across a breadth of industries. Your ideal role is to utilise your technical skills whilst engaging with customers, understanding their business needs and developing rapport. You will deliver this by using your proven analysis, design and development capabilities to new and existing systems.
You have excellent communication skills; you enjoy taking ownership of your work and relish the prospect of a challenge. Your consultative style ensures you build strong relationships with your stakeholders and your team that eventuates in your continued success.
