Position Description |
We are currently seeking experienced Usability Specialists to grow our Web and Information Management capability within SMS.
We are seeking highly experienced Web professionals who can provide practice leadership and service offering responsibility as part of their role within the organisation.
SMS offers ongoing professional development programs, have a collegiate culture and can offer overseas assignments from time to time.
To be considered you would require an in depth knowledge of web technologies, emerging internet trends, content and accessibility standards.
Your day to day involvement could include any of the following:
- Meet with stakeholders to set the vision
- Assemble a multidisciplinary team to ensure complete expertise
- Conduct field studies
- Create user profiles
- Document user scenarios
- Develop screen flow and navigation models
- Complete walkthroughs of design concepts
- Conduct usability testing on low fidelity prototypes
- Document standards and guidelines
- Work closely with delivery team as design is implemented
- Use surveys for user feedback
- Check objectives using usability testing
For these assignments you need excellent analytical and problem solving capability together with appropriate written and verbal presentation skills.
A demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, communicate persuasively and resolve various issues is also an important aspect of the role. Experience with a UCD methodology would also be an advantage.
