Terry is a senior project director, project manager and business analyst, with extensive experience managing large and complex projects and in the analysis and design of business and IT systems. He has well-developed skills in CobIT, ITSM and PRINCE2^®  and is currently completing accreditation as a Master Project Director (MPD). He has led a number of teams involved in major change initiatives, including business restructuring, process rationalisation, and the implementation of new IT systems. He is a lateral thinker with an outstanding ability to synthesise complex problems into simple, understandable solutions. Terry has played a leading role in the redevelopment of large organisations, from the strategic review of business directions to the analysis and documentation of business requirements and subsequent implementation of recommended changes in structure, systems and process.

SMS Career Highlights

• Having a great career in the military, allowing me to do all the ’boys own’ type activities that you would expect.
• Since then, working with a group of enthusiastic and motivated SMSers whose knowledge and exploits sometimes make me wonder how they do it.

He has just achieved the milestone of 10 years at the SMS Office in Canberra after spending nearly 25 years working throughout Australia in the RAAF. Originally hailing from North Queensland (Townsville), he has spent the last 18 years living in Canberra, so he knows the place well. He lives on a small property just out of town, this escape keeps him sane.
