This strategy normally takes the form of a roadmap document which outlines a series of progressive stages of growth/maintenance cycles for your ERP system, looking ahead over the next two to three years.

Typically our ERP Consulting services will help you to:

  • Understand ERP product ranges and licensing options. We can work with your business and technology department to ensure that the most suitable application or technology solution is selected to meet your business goals, in the context of your existing technical environment and future direction.
  • Once you understand your options, you'll be in a better position to decide which ERP components you need (and which ones you don't need), which third party tools you might consider, when and in what order to purchase everything, and how it will all fit together.

 

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for an ERP application within your organisation. Your ERP roadmap (part of your overall IT strategy) will identify a series of business objectives to be addressed using ERP and related technologies, and a timetable and budget for achieving them.
  • We can assist by providing technical implementation recommendations, calculated estimates of project costs and timelines, advice on which key in-house personnel to involve and how long to involve them, assessments of product compatibility (underpinned by prototyping where necessary), and return on investment projections.

 

  • Develop Business Blueprints tailored specifically to your organisations business processes. Implementation specifications such as SAP-endorsed methodologies (including ASAP) are designed to document and communicate business process implementation decisions made by the business process owners and the functional/technical teams. When finalised, they become the authoritative reference documents for implementation, testing and quality assurance.
  • Our role here is to provide a sounding board for your ideas on business process improvement and, where possible, advise on best practice techniques for your industry. Sometimes we are asked to challenge the assumptions underpinning existing ways of doing things and always act in your best interest.
  • We also guide you in the use of the ASAP methodology - supplying document templates, technical writing standards and other tools - and help in harmonising the inputs from different project sources to produce a cohesive master implementation plan.
